How does PS7 know how much to "nudge" something with the arrow keys?

When you select something in PS7 and nudge it with your arrow keys, it moves a very small amount. I need to move things a very specific amount. (38, and 22 pixels to be exact)

How can I do that?

TIA,

Dean

From the Photoshop help page on "nudge":

Press an arrow key on the keyboard to nudge the objects 1 pixel. Hold down Shift and press an arrow key on the keyboard to nudge the objects 10 pixels.

So there is no way to specify how far you want ot move an object but by counting how many times you press the arrow key?

Not using the nudge keys.

Well the OP says he wants to move something 38 pixels, so (for the sake of this example, lets say he’s moving it to the right), why not just Shift+RtArrow 4 times, (40 pixels), then LtArrow twice? (40-2=38)…

Maybe I’m missing something here. What’s the mystery?
