Is there a way to remove specific sections of the metadata in Photoshop CS, specifically the history?

If not is there another program that can?

Thanks

Which history? "Preference" history like remembering the last positions of palettes, files opened, tool used, etc. or actual history states of the particular file you’re working on? You should be able to set History states to zero in the prefs. Likewise with list of recent files. For prefs in General, just press Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) when launching Photoshop or ImageReady to reset the prefs to the default setting.

If you use ‘Save for Web’ I understand that ALL the metadata is stripped out to make a smaller file. I’ve never checked, so give it a try.
