First you read the manual, then you get someone to help you sound out the big words.

Record an action then run File>Batch and select the action you just recorded. Have a separate directory for the new files.

And part of that Action should be Flatten Image in the Layers Palette, if you have them in the PSD (from the OP).

Only if you’ve added layers. 🙂

Of course! I often mistakenly assume that others are like me, and immediately add a half-dozen, or more, Layers, just to start a job :-}

You mean there are people that don’t immediately add adjustment layers? 😉

Good grief! Don’t make an action and batch it for conversions. A very powerful, fast, and free tool is "Dr. Brown’s Image Processor 2.2" at: http://www.russellbrown.com/tips_tech.html

This is a script that will convert whatever is readable in your file brower to PSD, TIFF, or JPEG. Plus you get several options like, resizing, color space setting, and JPEG level.

If you do batch conversion at all, get this tool today.

Lots of them. I had a gal working for me that I could not get to use adjustment layers. What she did she did pretty darn good, but she seemed to be allergic to layers.

LOL! I don’t know how I’d get *anything* done without adjustment layers any more 🙂

Have you tried ReaConverter Pro?

http://www.reasoft.com/products/reaconverter/

You can download a trial version that limits you to a batch size of ten at a time or pay for the unlimited version. After using it a few times, I gladly paid the price. Much more than just a file format converter!
