Hi group,

Just installed the Adobe Creative Suite premium.
all seems to be fine except when I try to load Photoshop I get

" PHOTOSHOP.EXE -UNABLE TO LOCATE COMPONENT
This application has failed to start because PDFL50.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

I have re-installed the whole suite and am still getting the same, Can anyone please advise how to solve this.

Thanking in advance all those who take the time to reply

David

You’ve copied an old plugin that you shouldn’t have, or you’ve deleted some files that you shouldn’t have.

Thanks Chris, it was a plugin problem, all is now well.

THis same thing happened to me after I updated Camera Raw from the Adobe download page.

How do I know what is an old plug-in?

Also PS tells me that Fast Core Routines are not available. What the heck are they?

Martin – No, that’s not what the error message says.

Read it again.

It sounds like you have obsolete copies of some plugins that you copied from an older version of Photoshop.
