OK here’s the story (Don’t kill the questioner) I have a few thousand dollars left in this years budget and thought that it might finally be nice to get a printer for doing small runs of maps and posters. I’m looking for something that will do at least 36" wide paper. What do people here recommend? Is there a certain brand I should consider over others? I’d prefer something that can do a dozen poster size maps that won’t cost me an arm and leg for ink? THANKS

I don’t think you can go wrong with Epson products for the prosumer price point.

I think the OP wanted 36" wide printer. The 7600 only goes to 24" AFAIK. I believe the 9600 will go to 44".

Hope this helps,
Dave

More interested in brands or series to look at "designjet" and what to stay away from. Depending on the price I may either step up or step down the size I purchase. 24" will probably do but to be safe I wanted to try 36"
