When starting PS CS, it seems to take a long time starting while it searches for plugins specifically. I have some additional plugins, the biggest being Photographic Edges. Is there a key press(es?) when PS boots, that will ignore the plugins extra plugins such as edges, a masking plugin, etc.? I would like to keep the regular plugins such as unsharp mask, etc. If these extra plugins can be aborted, can they be loaded later while in a PS session or do I need to restart it? I don’t use the photo edges all the time but would like to have them available by way of a plugin instead of the standalone program. Thanks.

I am not sure if it will work, but put the plugins in a separate folder and in Preferences don’t have that folder set as your secondary plugins folder unless you know you are going to be using them. Then you can choose it and restart.

Worth a try.

You cannot load a plugin without restarting PS

I am not sure if it will work, but put the plugins in a separate folder and in Preferences don’t have that folder set as your secondary plugins folder unless you know you are going to be using them. Then you can choose it and restart.

Create a seperate folder for all of your plugins then go to edit/preferences plugin folder and choose additional plugins. You’ll have to restart PS to make it work. While you’re at it, make several sub directories and place all your plugins in these directories from most used to least used.
