Can anybody recommend a plug in /filter/action that will help me get that polarised holiday brochure look to my pics

Polarizer filters can’t be simulated in software. They do things optically that just can’t be done after the picture is taken. Get a polarizer for your camera and do it that way.

John is correct … however you can usually make a passing attempt at faking it by playing with

Saturation (increase … maybe something like 15% – 25%)

Contrast (increase …)

Unsharp Mask … for sharpness (small blur radius)

Unsharp Mask … used for local contrast enhancement (large blur radius)

I’ve searched & searched myself, tried several, but they were crappy… but I found this one seems to be the best for me:

It’s on the pricey side, but some of the things this does is amazing.

You can also get a "partial version" with the polarization filter included…in a bundle with other great software here:
