After placing type on 140 photos underline turned on but won’t turn off. Character box shows underline off. What else controls underline?

HUm,

do you want to turn underline off on the next (eg 141st) image or do you need to change existing text to remove the underline?

And while you’re at it, what version of PS are you using?

does the underline show when not actively editing text? cs has a little bar under the text while editing (I hate it btw!)…

I am using Photoshop CS. I want to turn off the underline for the next picture. Somehow it turned on and in the character box it shows it off. No matter what I do (obviously the wrong things) it won’t turn off. I have tried different pictures, rebooting, turning CS off and on but the underline won’t turn off. I did a workaround with Image Ready but that is not as easy to use the text on.

Went back to Photoshop, haven’t used it since this morning, everything working now (no underline). Maybe it just needed a rest after the 140 pictures. Do you know what would cause this in case it happens again?

Thanks for any and all help. Had Version 4 for years but never learned to use it properly. Since I am retired maybe I can spend some time on some more detailed work…..

sometimes strange things just happen and you shrug ’em off. the next thing I was going to suggest would be to reset the prefrences.

I had ps for a couple years through work, then bought version 6 on a student discount, but never really got into it until 7 was released and I got a digital camera. Stick around george, read all the threads that look interesting. you’ll learn a lot here.

welcome…
