I have several 2"x3" images from the web that are 72-150 dpi. I need to print them at 8"x10". I know you can’t "enhance" like they do in the movies because you don’t get anything better than what you start with, but does anyone have a method they use to blow up small, low res images and fake at least a printable resolution of 150 at 8"x10"? I know I can increase the physical size and the resolution in the image size window, but that will not actually increase the level of detail. Somebody out there has had to have had this same problem. Please help.

yes, and the answer is always the same: rescan or live with it the way it is.

If yu use the Image Size to resample the image to have more pixels, PS will try to generate the extra pixels in a way that keeps the image looking as good as possible. I have heard, however, that there are some specialized programs that do a better job of this than PS. I haven’t tried them so cnanot offer advice, but it might be worth looking into.
