Is there a way to get a web gallery, created in photoshop CS, to display inside an editable content region of an html page created in dreamweaver?

The only way I can think of is to manually copy the code over, Nigel, but you would need copy the JavaScript to the <HEAD> section of your HTML doc and probably alter the <img src> references as well.

I was thinking about an iframe. I can get a fireworks gallery to work this way but not the photoshop one.

Nigel,

I was thinking about an iframe. <<

Hmmm, that should work. After all, an iframe is only ‘carrying’ a link to page and there is nothing particularly special in the web gallery pages. Have you tried it using the Simple Style for Web Gallery? I wonder if it’s the framed styles that are causing problems…

Yes I tried with the simple style produced in fireworks and that is functioning OK but the newer frames based output from PS won’t work. I have a feeling it’s something to do with the paths. I can get the whole thing to open in an iframe but then when I click one of the thumbnails the larger image appears and all the frames and thumbnail links disappear.

Nigel,

I think you would need to add a force-frames script to the individual pages to do what you want.

I tried that – no joy. The problem is that I can’t seem to get the script to saty on the pages phtoshop generates.

I’ll try another gallery.

Nigel,

Might be worth asking over on the GoLive forum about displaying a framed page in an <iframe>…if anyone can tell you how it will be Daverj, one of the Hosts over in GL
