I am new to photoshop and am using version 6. When ever I export for web, I always get a background for the image. I have set backgrounds and anything else I can find to "none" and I still get a background (white) with the image. How can I set the background to none or clear and have my image have the background of the web page. I do my web publishing in Dreamweaver MX 2004. I have been working on this for quite some time now and appreciate the help.
Thanks for the help,
Doug

What format are you looking at? For transparent background choose gif and click Transparency.

On Save for Web you must start out with a transparent background for this to work, or select the color(s) you want to turn transparent it the color table and click the transparency icon (checkerboard square)at the bottom.

For God’s sake, this is Usenet, not some extortion racket.
