hello
all the photos that i work with camera raw,
they keep in memory all settings,

but as a backup i place all images in a dvd,
the thing is that once again when read from dvd or cd,
camera raw dont remember tha settings, rotations etc,

so the cuestion is, where photoshop keeps all those
settings in memory, i wish to back up also those files

MacBook Pro 16” Mockups 🔥

By default the settings are located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Adobe\CameraRaw

However, another option is to create a "sidecar" .xmp file for each file which contains the process information. To do this:
[Open a raw file]
Next to Settings, click on Right-arrow icon
Click Preferences
Set Save image settings in:
SideCar ".xmp" files

Don’t confuse "memory" with "disk space". They are two distinctly different things. "Memory" is something that is generally erased when the computer is turned off (RAM). "Disk space" or "storage" is not lost when you turn the computer off. More memory = faster Photoshop. More disk space does not = faster Photoshop.
