am new to adobe, but i am looking for a good graphic program for web designs, my question is, photoshop cs is this mainly for digital photos or graphic work also, they seem to stress the photo work the most, i am coming from macromedia, fireworks, but was looking for a better graphic progrm, i would appreciate any input you can give me to help make my decission, thx

Photoshop for pruducing the graphics, then back to dreamweaver for your layout and design stuff, I would use fire works over Imageready as well personly.

I prefer Fireworks to ImageReady (a component in Photoshop) as well for rollovers, animations, simple buttons and Javascript things like menus or image swaps. But I use PS a great deal when an image needs tweaking in some way.
