Adding Text to Images

Hello! I’m running Photoshop CS Version 8.0 on an XP system and for the life of me I can’t figure out how to add text to an image! It’s probably just me, but this sure doesn’t seem very intuitive! Would anybody know how to do this?

Um yeah…

Try hitting the text tool button (looks like a "T")

Then type the text you want on the image.

…. and there is also something that is called "Help" (F1). You just enter "enter text" and you get lots of hints
