Start with new file WIDER that one with subject. Same color mode & resolution.
1. New File
2. Add new layer
3. Pick pattern Stamp
4. In pattern stamp options bar. Many patterns available if you use fly-out menu.
5. Paint pattern on the new layer with pattern stamp.
6. Zoom out so window is larger that your pattern file. You will see empty space around your pattern.
7. Edit – Transform – Scale. Drag top of selection down so it is now about one half to one third as tall. Enter.
8. Edit – Transform – Perspective. Drag either top corner in, drag bottom corner out. Enter.
9. Copy this layer to your file with subject. Place behind subject & “studio backdrop” layer. Transform again as needed.
10. Erase or delete Studio background as needed.
11. Maybe add a drop shadow where backdrop meets floor.

As with backdrop, others here will have another way of doing this. And as with backdrop their way may be better. I typed this really fast (fast for me…)
