I am having a problem printing images in black and white. I am using Windows XP, PSCS and an Epson 2200. I change the image in CS as follows:
Image>Mode>Lab Color, then I click on Channels, then click on Lightness, then adjust brightness/contrast, and then I go to Image>Mode>Grayscale and discard other layers. It looks great on the screen, but when I print it, it has either a pink or purple tint to it. I have tried it on 2 different computers and printers but it always has a tint.
Does this sound like a problem with my monitor or my printer? Or is there a better way to convert to black and white? I don’t like desaturate – it’s too gray. I’ve tried several different ways and this one works the best.
Thanks for your help.
