Photoshop 3.05 will not run on Windows XP?

I sure does not on my machine. THe program opens, but I cannot open new files or read old ones. Is there hope or this a way for Adobe (and Microsoft) to get $1000 out of me?

3.05 won’t see more than 512k ram. if you have more than that, it’s getting confused and shutting down. that said, you can upgrade to cs for 169 bux or less. where do you get 1000 dollars?
