I just upgraded my operating system to XP and now my PS4 will not work. I get the following error message:

"The procedure entry point WNetEnumCachedPasswords could not be located in the dynamic link library MPR.dll"

Up until the point of upgrading my operating system, PS4 worked fine. I’m assuming it is because it is too old of a version to cope with XP. I can’t afford to upgrade Photoshop at the moment. Is there any sort of fix to solve this problem temporarily while I finish my project?

I think you need the 4.01 update to work under xp. you may also need to set the app to run in windows 95 mode.

OK thanks.

Could you explain to me how to do either of those suggestions? I tried looking at the downloads for Photoshop on Adobe’s web site but there was only one download for 4.0 and it was a Spanish version.

Thanks.

mike engles (a forum regular here) has posted the patch at his site, it’s no longer available from adobe… see this post:

try that and see if it works for you.
