In the batch command, there is a checkbox called ‘Override action "save as" commands’

When I check it, I get this message:
when this option is on, files will be saved to the destination folder only be save as commands in the action. If there are no save or save as steps, no files will be saved.

The title of the checkbox says the check box will override the save as in the action. But the message says the checkbox will use the the save as in the action. Does anyone else notice that this makes no sense whatsoever ? and which is it ? After repeated trys it never seems to do what it is supposed to. How is it supposed to work ?

I want to override the save as which was saved in the action, so do I check that box or not ?

"to save with the saved save as, or save the save as or not to save the saved save as… ??"
<uncrossing eyes now… okay, so…>

I think this may help – in the batch command, you can specify where the finished product should go.
Or not.
In your actions pallette, you can use "insert menu item" to just stick in a "save" or "save for web" and a "close" if you like. This inserts a clean
step that does not have any file names or locations connected to it.

There is one more option… in your actions palette, each step has a little check box next to it.
to disable a step in the action, simply uncheck that box. the step stays, but is ignored until you recheck it.
(this is very useful in a number of ways…)

hope this helps!

Check it. I think that prevents it from saving with the same name.
