if i import the nikon raw-files (raw) into photoshop cs i have a significant color difference that i did not have in photoshop 7. the working-space is the same: sRGB IEC6 1966-2.1. i run windows XP.

you can see the difference at http://www.fotoboom.nl/4u/photoshop/.

Have you considered that the RAW converter in CS is different to the one in 7?

actually i tried the standard one and an update:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=2460 . or do you mean that there is a lot more to ajust in the cs-version? anyhow, i can not produce the same colors as in 7 or nikonview.

I have never used the RAW converter in version 7 and I now do not use the converter in version CS. I use a converter from http://www.dxo.com which also supports Adobe’s digital negative.

I have found the camera/lens specific converter to be far more usable than Canon of Nikon converter in CS. I always thought the ACR was not rendering pictures the way I expected. Adobe’s adjustments are OK but I like to have some presets to batch process images. DXO works in repairing many errors in my lenses (yes, even the fabled "L" series Canon lenses) and you don’t need to be super dedicated to use it. I have no affiliation with the developers or in marketing this product.
