I was printing a large file in my ps 7 and had image size set to 13 x 19 inches actually 19 and a fraction, when clicking on print I was told the image was larger than the paper and cropping would occur which was fine, I wanted to use as much of the 13 x 19 as possible. I also had set my printer to 1440 dpi and borderless to take advantage of this. so I was expecting one dimension to be printed border to border and the other to have thin strip of white or both dimensions border to border with a little of the picture cut out. The picture came out of the printer with about 2 inches of blank space on the 19 inch side and 1 inch of blank unused space on the 13 inch side? When I went back to image size it reflected these new dimensions? why did it change? how do I get it to print on all the paper?

Thanks Bill

Bill, you have to set up the ability to print edge to edge within your "Printer" settings and not PS so as to get the full size. Obviously no desktop printer here!

Many (most) printers cannot print edge to edge. A small amount of margin (big on some printers) is required for paper handling and for the path of the printhead. As Mark says, you will have to see what the printer can do in its software.
