Making text look like it is really popping out of the page

I created some text with bevel and some drop shading along with the stroke effect but I still want it to look like it is coming out of the page more. I am using Photoshop 7. Please help what settings would be the best for this if I just need to adjust them.Thank You Matt

Do you mean "hovering over the page" or "an emboss effect"?

If you are using bevel, there is a drop-down menu for different effects.

If you want a better "hovering" effect, change the colour of the drop shadow or change the blend mode.

You could spend an afternoon going through all the possiblities and the experimentation will serve you well in the long run.
