Metadata doesn’t appear in web photo gallery

After adding metadata to several photos using the file browser window, I have tried several time to create a web photo gallery (using various styles). I am making sure that the "preserve all metadata" is checked, and yet none of my metadata ever appears in the final web gallery. I only get the file name (no description etc..)

What am I doing wrong?
