gif transparency?

In PS6, I am trying to save a white rectangle with 74% opacity as a transparent gif, but it comes out with 100% opacity.

Is it possible to do what I want and, if so, how?

GIF transparancey is all or none.

There is a dither option in 7 that can visually cheat certain GIFs to look like have less than 100%. Is that an option in Save For Web in 6?
