I am trying to create a scalable version of a business logo. I am somewhat new at graphic computing, so I’m sure I haven’t gone about this the best way, but here I am:
I began with a bitmap of the logo and, using the pen tool along with stroking paths in PS 7, I created a highly accurate rendering of the logo. When saved as an EPS file MS Word only prints the preview which is very poor quality. I am not using a postscript printer which probably affects this, but it has to work on normal inkjets to be worthwhile anyway.
After searching the forum, it became clear that Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator are the programs of choice for creating WMF files. When I imported the EPS from photoshop into a trial version of CD 12 and exported as WMF, the image displayed correctly, but printed garbled. PICT file inverted part of the logo. I haven’t tried AI yet.
Is there a straightforward way to get my PS path drawing converted to a scalable format compatible with MS Word and an inkjet printer?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated,
Seth
