Refurb Intuos 4D mouse bottom

Maybe this post should be in alt.graphic.tablets, but there’s so little traffic over there.

The "fabric" on the bottom of my mouse is getting very worn. Otherwise the mouse and tablet work well. Tablet is an original Intuos.

I’d rather not spend $70USD for a replacement from Wacom.

I’m looking for advice on how to refurbish the mouse’s bottom.

If you can get the old stuff off, you should be able to glue on a piece of felt. You want to use a good glue but one that will not damage the plastic. Another option would be self sticking Velcro so that when you need to replace the felt pad it would be much easier next time.
