I am working with the newest version of Adobe Photoshop. We us it to create gift certificates for a place of business. Each time I need more, I have to go back and change the numbers manually. Is there any way to advance the numbers automatically within this progam??? I am working on a Dell PC.

Doing this in PS would be messy for most users. It would require you (or someone) to develop a VBScript or JavaScript, which is probably overkill for this kind of thing.

I’ll bet you could save the file in .jpg format, insert it into a Microsoft Word document (or other WP program), duplicate the certificate page until you had, say, 50 pages, and use the "page numbering" feature as a way to print and increment the certificate number.

For each run (assuming format of the certificate stays the same), all you’d need to do is change the starting page (certificate) number.

George,

in a DTP program like PageMaker it´s simple:

Put ten images, numbered 0..9, on the master page.
Insert automatic page number # at position #0 .. #9
and add N empty(!) pages.

This delivers 10,11..19,20,21..29, .. ,N0,N1..N9
numbered images (0..9 is not available).

The other solution is a mechanical auto-increment
stamp …

George, I recently had to do a batch of tickets for a dance. They needed unique numbers, for a prize drawing. After creating the tickets, I used Word to insert a merge field and then merged from a series of numbers in Excel. It worked great!
