Why is my default new image 16 px X 16 px?

No matter what I set it to, it always reverts to 16 X 16. The only way I can get what I used last is with CTRL + ALT + new, but I’d like it to default to 300 X 300 px so I wouldn’t have to do that.

Help would be appreciated?

Do you have something that size on the clipboard? Purge.

So far CTRL + ALT + New is the only way. I don’t feel up to a reinstall.

I just opened up a "new" image, and reset the settings from 16 pixels x 16 pixels @ 72 dpi, to 8-1/2 inches x 11 inches @ 300 dpi, and then saved this blank as "untitled.psd". Then when I opened another "new" image, the settings held. Might work for you, I’m still running PS6.

Hmm. That doesn’t work for me with either PS6 or PS7. I think something is blown. Maybe it’s the fact that I installed PS6 after installing PS7. That’s a no-no, I think.
