To give a serious answer:

Try it with Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation (or if you are familiar with Adjustment layers, do it with a Hue/Saturaion Adjustment layer) and check the ‘Colorize’ at the right bottom. Then slide the Hue slider untill you match with the color of the dollar bill. Of course the Saturation and lightness will help you get there even closer.

There are a zillion ways in PS to do what you want, but this is the easiest way to get a fairly good result imo.

I think you’re all getting a bit off track here, regardless of the images used, if you take the trouble to read through the tutorials you’ll find that they are, mostly, very coherent and utilise a number of different, and very useful approaches. If you’re troubled by the images then simply ignore them!

Personally although I found the images less than pleasant I went to the page for a specific purpose, I found at least 3 techniques described very clearly that will become a useful tool to me. maybe I’ve just grown up too much

well I tried image adjust hue saturation and it works ok.. but cant get "exact match"..

here is what I did. have bill on one layer.. picture of my daughter on the other. I selected her… so that when I adjust hue/saturation only she changes.. not the bill underneath. cant achieve "exact " color.

Is there a way to maybe use eye dropper tool to get color from bill and then "paint" on my daughter using that color without losing the texture of her. just changing the color?

1. Create a hue/sat adjustment layer for the photo and slide the
saturation all the way over to the left, -100, to make it b&w
2. Make an oval selection around the president where your daughter
will be and save it as a channel.
3. Place your daughter in position and mask her with the channel. If you need to move her just unlink the mask.
4. Add some texture. filter/texture/texturizer.
5. Now the color. use the color picker to pick the whitish color of the bill. create a new level and fill it with that color. Make sure the oval is still selected or clip it or mask it so it only covers your daughter. Now use the blending mode, multiply should work best for the white but try the others until your happy. Play with the opacity
6. Do the same for the green on a new layer and again try different blending modes, hard light looks best to me but maybe not for you. Play with the opacity.

I’m with you. Heck, I like porn as much as anybody, but was looking for some excellent masking and compositing tutorials, but got lost. I’m suspecting that one of my pop-up blockers might well be the cause. I’ll even wade through miles of porn, just to gather a new PS technique, but this site had me stumped. I kept going around in circles and never got to the tutorials. Oh well, I do pretty well with compositing already, so maybe I’m not really missing anything.

I’m with you. Heck, I like porn as much as anybody, but was looking for some excellent masking and compositing tutorials, but got lost. I’m suspecting

that

one of my pop-up blockers might well be the cause. I’ll even wade through miles of porn, just to gather a new PS technique, but this site had me stumped. I kept going around in circles and never got to the tutorials. Oh well, I do pretty well with compositing already, so maybe I’m not really missing anything.

please excuse me if this is a very basic thing.. newbie here.. but im trying to put my daughters face into a 100 dollar bill. how would I color her picture to be the same grayish/green tint as the money so it looks "realistic".

They are some of the best tutorials on the subject of masking that you will ever find, that’s why. And some of us here are adults and not bothered by sexual imagery.
