I seem to have lost a very valuable tool and can’t seem to get it back. Prior to printing an image, at the very bottom of the PS work area I used to be able to get a preview of how my image would appear ( in size) on whatever size paper I had in my printer. Could somebody please explain to me how to get it back? TIA Murphy

PS 7 —
1. Window|Status
2. left-click the black triangle and select from
document sizes
document profile
document dimensions <— probably what you want
scratch sizes
efficiency
timing
current tool

PS CS??

Status display disappears on my PC from time to time. Who knows why. Adobe made sure that the funky key combo to trash prefs is in PSCS, so I’d say Adobe still has a small problem with corruption of that file for unknown reasons. I know, before someone pops in (1) he didn’t ask (2) it seemed related (3) I didn’t see anyone else give a half-useful answer.

Instead of just selecting PRINT, select PRINT WITH PREVIEW (Alt+Ctrl+P in Windows). That will show you the size of your printed image in relation to the size of the page. It will also let you place the image where you want to print it on the page (by unchecking the CENTRE IMAGE check box).
If you are working with an image and simply want to see its print size without going into Print Preview, choose VIEW>PRINT SIZE. Hope this helps Murphy.
