What would be the easiest way to draw a simple arced or curved line?

Is there a way to bend it like in Windows Paint?

Thanks,

pez

check out the "pen" tool. google search for photoshop pen tool tutorial. Not the easiest tool in the toolbox to use, but a tutorial should give you the basic concept,

Everybody is entitled of course to ask the most basic questions, this is usenet, but I believe this one should be framed, lets hang it on the wall above the pillow of pezoids…….and send a copy to mr M.S Gates………..cheers mate, Windows paint bends!

Actually , i must say i think that the op’s question was a pillar of reasonableness compared to some i have seen posted both here and on Photoshop Cafe …

Also steggy i think it maybe makes people a little reluctant to ask, learn and join in when they’re laughed at , Dont you?

If you had helped the guy this time like baby grand did , then next time he may ask a more interesting question.

Pezoids: Another way to get arcs that can be easier for some jobs/people is to use the circle tool (shape tool) then just erase unwanted portions using the eraser or the circular selection tool then hit delete on the unwanted portion ….

Tao….

I’ll design the frame for you shmeggy.

….and I’m not lazy. I have no official schooling on PS, but I just thought I was missing something very very basic. I just can’t draw a simple bent line. Pencil tool sucks for that. So does creating a circle and erasing the excess.

Oh, btw, I have spent hundreds of hours working on graphics, websites, beer labels and such…
