Photoshop 7.0 shuts down after loading – HELP!

About a few weeks ago my Photoshop started malfunctioning. Whenever I started up the program, it would close down again once everything was loaded.

I’ve tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, didn’t work. Tried uninstalling it and deleting the folder it was in and installing it again. I even ran a virus check on my computer with McAfee and it didn’t find anything. I also tried a system restore.

It’s not effecting any other programs, just Photoshop 7.0. I’m using Windows XP, Home Version.

Could someone help me out?

First of all, Delete your preference file – Details in the FAQ at the top of this Forum’s
Topic List.

If that doesn’t fix it, watch the splash screen carefully and tell us what is the last item displaying there before the application closes.
