Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Serial Number Problem

Hello,
I purchased Adobe 6.0 & Photoshop 7.0 from a guy from ebay and when upon Registering Photoshop, Adobe Web SIte says its invalid Serial Number. I didnt get a book, or Org. CD or Case, so The Serial Number is in a Sep. file. It took the Serial Number Upon Setup, and it has my name etc. But…..when I go to the Adobe Website, it tells me Invalid Serial Number???

Anyone know how to get this fixed???

Probably a pirated copy. If you feel the software is legitimate, give Adobe customer service a ring and perhaps they can help.
