Chris Cox wrote the folliwng a few weeks back:

"Because, as already explained — Shadow/Highlight does things that aren’t allowed in adjustment layers. It’s just too complicated to be an adjustment layer."

A follow up question resulted in this response:

"Ain’t gonna happen …… Adjustment layers have some limits, and Shadow&Highlight doesn’t fit those limits."

Duplicate your Backround Layer and do the S?H work on that.

yes but that’s a big overhead with large images and worse – you can’t go back and change your mind!

Thanks Ian – do you know an intelligent discussion/tutorial on S/H, – it intrigues me – but can’t quite get a handle on what it’s doing? (well, other than adjusting S/H!)
