we recently took family picture but my brother was absent.. I would like to add him to the pic.. how would i go about making sure the same lighting effect is present when adding.. i have one pic of him darker than the family pic.. and one lighter and the shading is all wrong. how can i blend him in seemlessly? thanks

To save you a ton of grief, you are best off just re-shooting your brother with similar lighting. Depending on the differences, you could spend weeks trying to create the exact effect in PS. One thought, however, if the direction of the light is just the opposite, you can flop the image of your brother, to make the light appear to come from the other side. You just have to assume that his face is symetrical. If he has on clothing with a logo, just flop the head and do touchup work, placing most of the body behind another subject in the photograph.
