I’ve used ps8 for web page creation, but now I have a need for a web site creation option. This would do the trick, if it would create individual sections based on the folders it finds the images. But it doesn’t work that way. Or didn’t yesterday. I used a root folder with 2 folders under it and all it did was kept on going grabbing pix from the 2nd folder and appending to the last html page created for the 1st folder.

I have several hundred folders that need html web design style indexing. And if the folders are combined, there’s no indication where one folder starts and the next ends.

Is there a fix to modify ps8 to automatically handle this, or maybe a software program to do this ?

I want it to grab the title of the folder and create a new output folder for html, images and thumbs. Then move to next folder and repeat the process until done.

Yes. It’s called Dreamweaver and it’s what you use to design and build web sites. PS is an image editor and, quite reasonably, is absolute crap at building web sites.

I’ve used dreamweaver. I don’t recall any function where it’ll traverse a tree of folders and build a website from them.
Which is why I use Golive for a web editor.

I picked up CD2HTML it comes close, and it’s modifiable via templates, so All I need to do is build the template and hope the program doesn’t choke on it.

But I’d rather not have to reinvent the wheel if there’s something already out there that’ll do it.

Dpic would be the ideal, if it did more than just contact sheets. —
