Greetings,

I would like to know if it is possible in photoshop to paint with two (and possibly more) brushes simultaneously? Specifically, NOT in the manner already provided for with the "Duel Brush" option (wherein the "Duel Brush" mode effectively combines two brush tips into a new single brush tip- that only shows up -where both brush strokes intersect/overlap). What I desire is something more akin to the "layered brush" approach found in painter. An example of this functionality would be if I had a single brush that dynamically switched- or alternated -between two separate brush tips as I painted a stroke with it on my document.

Currently, I have been unable to find any documentation for such functionality. This leads me to believe that their is no native support for this kind of feature and may thus require the writing of a custom brush tool or worse; a rewrite/update of the brush tool engine itself (something I would really like to avoid if possible). So if anyone out there reading this can shed some light on the matter (or provided any insight into a possible solution), please give me a write back.

Respectfully,

T.D.
