PS-upgrade re-install without pre-version?

Hello,

please, who can tell me:

I’ve bought the upgrade version Photoshop CS and installed it over Photoshop
7. Activating was no problem and everything is ok.

What, if I have to change my harddrive sometimes in the future? Do I have to keep the PS7 version all my live long for that case? Do I have to feed the CS-Upgrade Installation or activation with the preversion to function?

I want to forget the PS7 Version and reinstall if needet only the CS-upgrade version.

Is that possible? Does it allow this if I register the CS-Version?

If you haven’t installed 7, the installer for CS will ask for the v.7 CD and use that as a check instead.

If you haven’t installed 7, the installer for CS will ask for the v.7 CD and use that as a check instead.

it wiould need v7 not only for a check,
but more so for most of the data
because on the upgrade version
would only be the add ons.

How big is your upgrade version, Kurt?

No. The upgrade is the full version. The only difference is that it checks to make sure you have the full (previous) version(s).
