I am currently using Adobe CS2.
On my computer, jpg file is associated with Irfanview because Irfanview is quick to view graphic files.
For printing, I use Photoshop CS2. Here is what I see.
When I open Adobe Bridge, I am unable to open any images with PS. Under bridge, right click on images, I see "open with" menu. Choices are Adobe Illustrators CS2, Internet Explorer 7, and Irfanview 4.0 (default). I do not see the listing of Photoshop CS2. So when I click on an image, it opens Irfanview. Please advise me how to add PS2 or open Photoshop from Adobe Bridge. TIA. Roman

ON windows OS
control panel
folder options
file types tab

select jpg from the list
edit the way you want it

you can choose diff programs to preview
to edit and to open with

FWIW
I have CS and CS3 installed and if I choose open from the right click menu it still uses CS
however if I double click any PSD it opens in CS3 like I want it to I have to use open with and manually select it on the right click menu

the only way to change the right click menu is manually edit the registry or use a program to do it
both not for novice users
always back up any registry changes this can whack your comp if done wrong

IN Bridge
if I double click any image or list of images it opens jpg in RAW when I click OPEN it launches CS3

My question is not to change the association of jpg with Irfanview but open jpg with PS with bridge.
The reason is that the viewing images with Irfanview is very quick. Roman

On some Windowses, you might have to control- or shift(?)-right-click to get the Open With… option.

Sorry, I should have made it clear that you have to do that in Windows, not in Bridge.

drag the thumbnail or several
from windows explorer over to your Bridge shortcut (mine is on taskbar)

that will leave your file associations alone to open jpg still in IRFAN

all the shortcuts work as droplets

you can drag images to PS too and it opens the program

drag any desktop shortcut to the task bar, it will show up there then I delete the ones on the actual desktop
less clutter

if you have no shortcut on the desk

got to START
find PS or any program
right click
choose properties from the list
press find target button
it will highlight a file with .exe
right click that and say create shortcut
drag it wherever you might need it

shortcuts work same for any folders or programs

in MY pictures I have shortcuts to all my other drives with older My Pictures folders on them

I followed your instruction but Bridge shortcut cannot be dropped into task bar and system tray. The only place to drop is quick launch bar. Are you referring to Quick Launch bar? Roman
