Any suggestions for video cards, brand or capacity? Run XP computer w 1 gig RAM. Now have video card w/32 mb of memory, and wonder if upgrade to 128 mb would be useful. Use PS CS. Deep thanks.

For Photoshop work video card memory doesn’t really matter. I’d get one allowing multiple displays.

Not in the least. The larger memory amounts are for 3D textures and draw buffers, not 2D work.

Matrox cards are awful. They stopped being good (performance wise) years ago. Avoid them. You can buy MUCH better 3D cards for a fraction of the cost that have far superior 2D performance too. Go for a videocard that goes in a PCI-X slot (if you have one). This will improve 2D performance as well as 3D.
