Context: CS2. WinXP + Win2K. All updates to everything.
I’ve got about 800 fonts installed on each of the two machines and in both cases, CS2 refuses to allow the use of certain fonts. They’re simply not in the drop-down list of "available fonts" although they are clearly installed on the machine and available to all other programs that I’ve tried. They’re TrueType fonts. If you want to find them on the web, they’re Aharoni and Narkisim.
I even tried to select the type in another program and copy it to the clipboard and then paste it into CS2 but what I got was the rendition of those characters in whatever was the currently selected font in CS2, not the original font.
Eventually I created the script in PowerPoint and used it to save a .JPG file which I could then open in CS2 but it shouldn’t have to be that hard.
Suggestions?
TIA
Norm
