Some of my files keep coming up with corrupt messages. These say ‘ this file is corrupt of damaged this is probably due to a faulty disc drive or disc error’ or something. And the files are having coloured squares or damaged pixels on every layer that are hard to remove. This happens on new files made in CS and old made in previous versions. It is happening to 3 people in my room. Anyone having the same problems?

Vicky,

Are you saving/opening across a network?

If not,

Check your RAM and your hard drive real well, ’cause one of them may be defective

How do I check my RAM and hard drive real well? It’s odd as 2 of my colleagues are having the same problem with our brand new G5s and 2.5gb of ram. Also we are not opening of saving across a network.

Nope – this is Windows-land [but we don’t mind foreign
visitors :-)]. Hence my ignorance.
