This newsgroup seems to have become less helpful in the past few months.
A good free source for actions, brushes, and all things Photoshop is Adobe Exchange <http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm>. It’s a site run by Adobe for users to share content with each other. After you register, click Photoshop on the home page and then Actions in the panel on the right (under Browse By Category). There you will find thousands of Photoshop actions.

Welcome to newsgroup.
May I suggest the first thing you do is to highlight the reply from Dave and set-up a meassage rule that deletes his replies automatically.
I have done this and have just realised he has relied to your original post by way of your reply to him.
Also do the same to Voivod. This will make a world of difference to your viewing of this newsgroup. You will find this to be the best way to start getting respectable replies to your posts and to weed out the crap that these 2 "people" persist on posting.

Adobe also has a site for free actions. Best to Google this one.
