my problem is i cant use anything in the filter list except noise, sharpen , stylize , and others and when i start a new canvas the layer is always locked. and i have tried to uninstall and it doesnt help.

Anyone can help me please ???

When you create a new, non-transparent image – the first "layer" is the background, and it cannot be moved. That’s normal.

And it sounds like you’re missing the Photoshop plugins folder (which is why you’re not seeing the plugin filters).

This is not completely true.

you can move channels one at a time.

you can load/create a selection and move the contents.

The big problem here is that selections are a one way trip, but should be modal when the user flops from the selection tool to the move tool, regardless of layer transparency.

It’s a long over due needed UI repair.
