I just started working with PS7 and noticed that the line tool doesn’t give a solid line but more of a 3-D look with shading on the edges. In PS 5.5 if you turn off the anti-aliasing for the line tool you can eliminate the shading and get a solid flat line, but I can’t figure out how to do the same thing in PS7. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Justin.

Check the options bar in the top of the screen. The Line Tool is now vector per default, and Photoshop does not offer aliased vectors. Instead, change the Line Tool to Pixels (They call it Solid Fill or some crap like that just to confuse us).

Thanks for the speedy reply Mat! That did the trick. When you change the line tool to pixels you get the anti-aliased option box.
