I don’t have Canon Dust Delete Data to know what it’s. But I would guess.

1. If it isn’t part of Photoshop then the chance for ACR to know or care about it is very slim. So I guess the answer is probably NO

2. If it isn’t graphic format (like RAW, JPG, BMP, PSD etc.) then I guess the answer is also NO

Or ARC only care and support graphic format, and the best thing about ARC that it won’t mind if you tell it to try the Canon Dust Delete Data.

Thanks,

If you have no idea at all what Canon Dust Delete Data are, why answer his question? Canon Dust Delete Data is not a kind of file format, as you seem to think, but data about the position of dust spots in an image. Canon’s own RAW conversion software can use these data to automatically retouch those spots. ACR doesn’t.

No, although there’s a spot removal tool in ACR.

All you need to do is using your HEAD then you will know I can answer the question without needing to know what Canon Dust Delete Data is. or I don’t know who you are but I can tell that you don’t use your head correctly.

Why? because I only need to know what ARC is capable of to know if it will work with Canon Dust Delete Data or not. And I only need to know what ARC is capable of to know you don’t use your head as suppose to.

It’s so simple need not to think, so think about it <bg>

Just a bit more of information. ACR doesn’t use any camera settings other than color temperature. Not styles, color bias, sharping or any of the other possible settings. Color temperature is used only to set the "as shot" tab. This seems to cause endless confusion to people who are exploring the RAW mode. The point of RAW is to give the photographer the maximum flexibility in adjusting the photo their way. Raw is just that, RAW it’s not done until it’s cooked. If you expect the photos to look just like the what is on the LCD display, (which is often the camera generated JPG) then you will be disappointed with RAW.

I know, it seems as if it might be a nice enhancement to ACR to have the spot information embedded in the raw file available in ACR to use the spot removal tool.
