I don’t know why but this happened to me before. All of a sudden when I turned my computer on today and tried to start photoshop 7 it crashes. I mean it loads for a while then when it’s done loading it just crashes. Does anyone know why? I know that before this happened because I clicked out of photoshop without clicking out on the images first. But this time I didn’t do that yet it still crashes. CAN YOU PLLLLLLLLEASE HELP ME! I’m in desperate need of help!! Please list all the possibilities in why this is happening and any ideas how I can fix it. Thanks so much in advance.

Memoires,

First, try resetting your Photoshop preferences to see if that resolves the problem. Refer to Mathias Vejerslev "How to delete/reset Photoshop preferences" 2/11/03 1:04pm </cgi-bin/webx?50>

If that fails, please try to provide more specific details, else "all the possibilities" would be far too many to address here. In other words, identify what O/S you’re running, your total system RAM and CPU, available hard drive space, etc. Also, when you say "finished loading", is that truly the case? Has the splash screen cleared off to the normal workspace before PS aborts on you? If not, then pay attention to the status of the load process in terms of what you see last reported prior to the crash…fonts loading, filters loading, etc.

With more information, perhaps someone can suggest a likely way to troubleshoot the problem and maybe even offer a solution.

Daryl
