PS-CS Color Settings–ICC vs ICM files

I am operating on Windows XP. Why does Photoshop only allow me to select from icc profiles and not icm profiles? Is there any way that I can select icm color profile files in PS-CS?

You can change any icc profile’s extension to icm, just rename it.

Isn’t it that .icm are monitor profiles, .icc image/working space profiles?
