Dear Experienced PS Users

I have PS CS and am trying to preview ai files. Doesn’t seem to work. Is there a trick I am missing?

My only workaround to this point was to create contact sheets of the graphics then save each page as a jpeg file. Sort of my own library.

Is there a better solution?

TIA,

Kelly Kirsch

In order to preview a file, Photoshop must read the file. In order to read a vector file such as a vector EPS or an AI file, Photoshop must rasterize the file–which can be a lengthy process. Photoshop doesn’t preview vector files that contain no embedded thumbnail.
