Hello,
I need to create a 30lpi film for the second exposure of a pad printing photopolymer plate.

I dont’ know how to create this file, so any suggestion is really welcome.

I’d like to create this file in Illustrator. If this isn’t possible is okay Photoshop.

Thank you all!

How about:

Create a new document – for example with height and width both 1 inch.

Draw a black horizintal line along the top edge of the document and clone a copy along teh bottom edge.

Go into Object/Blend/Blend_Options and choose
Spacing = Specified Distance
Set the distance at 0.03333 inch

Select both lines and do an Object/Blend/Make

Zoom in and check that the line width is suitable (~1 pt seems fine to me) and adjust the width of the line if necessary to get equal black and white bands.

Print or export to wherever…

Cheers

I’ll try then and let you make.

0,0333: why this number? from what calculation?

Thanks!

30lpi means 30 lines per inch, so each line is 1/30th of an inch.

Belated I know.

But still: I do not believe mfk wants a document with lines, I think his print shop needs a file set up with 30 raster-lines per inch. LPI is a resolution measurement.
